How to Fix Windows Mail or Outlook Express Not Letting You Change the Text Size

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

Sure: Windows Mail and Outlook Express don't have personalities the way humans do, they don't know moods and they don't think in much the same manner animals do.

But: Windows Mail and Outlook Express can appear very stubborn. They can, for example, refuse to accept your changing the font size. No matter what you pick from the pop-down menu, the size jumps back to, say, 10 pt.

Fortunately, this annoying and puzzling behavior can be explained as an unfortunate side-effect of Internet Explorer accessibility options — and can be corrected.
