Guide Review - MailMax 4.8 - Mail Server
"The 'Domain IP' header is actually a misnomer," says the MailMax manual. That doesn't prevent it from appearing prominently on the MailMax configuration panel. This is symptomatic of the (at least partially) confusing and cryptic interface.
If you make it past the initial settings, however, you get a powerful mail system reliably serving SMTP, POP and IMAP. The strong support for multiple domains in particular makes MailMax perfectly suited for small to middle-sized ISPs. Mailbox rules and simple content filtering (both Professional Edition only features) make it interesting for organizations of all kinds, too.
MailMax's anti-spam features are relatively strong, and the whole package can be configured remotely (that requires IIS, however).
