Access an AOL Email Account with Outlook

Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab

Make sure "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked

• Go to the Outgoing Server tab.
• Make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
  • Leave the default of Use the same settings as my incoming mail server intact.

1. Select "Tools | E-mail Accounts..." from the menu
2. Make sure "Add a new e-mail account" is selected
3. Choose "IMAP"
4. Type your name under "Your Name:"
5. Type "imap.aol.com" under "Incoming mail server (IMAP):"
6. Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab
7. Now go to the "Advanced" tab
8. Now click "Next >" and then "Finish"
