No Need for Street Addresses in Email Signatures

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

You have probably seen it before: signatures that are longer than the actual message and include lots of contact information. Much of it is not necessary, albeit some can be useful at times.

No Need for Street Addresses in Email Signatures

It is hard to think of situations where the street address is necessary information in the signature.

If you expect somebody to send you something via snail mail, you will usually include your street address in the actual message, but there's no need to append it to every single email message you send. You can also always point to detailed contact information on your web site or blog.
