How to Read a Message in Full HTML in Inbox.com

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

You do prefer plain text email to snazzy HTML messages, of course. Usually.

Some newsletters, however, are neatly designed and make good use of HTML's formatting features. Some emails from friends do include images in a sensible manner.

Fortunately, Inbox.com is flexible enough to accommodate. While it shows you all mail in plain text by default, getting the full HTML is not difficult.

To see a message with all its HTML formatting in Inbox.com:

  • Open the desired message.
  • Click Show details in the header area of the message.
  • Follow the Switch to HTML view link.

Switching to HTML for a message does not change your plain text default.
