Choose a Different Default Language in Outlook Mail

Outlook Mail supports many different languages and dialects

Changing the default language on Outlook.com

Outlook Mail offers support for many languages. To force a change to how Outlook Mail displays messages relative to the system's active language, change its default language.

Information in this article applies to Outlook Mail on Windows 10 as accessed through a browser.

Changing the current language of Microsoft Windows changes the language of Outlook Mail because Outlook Mail by default uses the language of the browser, which in turn defaults to the language of the operating system. The procedure we outline below overrides the language set at the operating system and browser level.
