Then there are pauses that leave you hanging — in the middle of a sentence, for example, or after "Hi, thanks much for " in the seventh email. Do these arbitrary stops urge you to continue what you so unsatisfactorily ended? Maybe you can use them to come back to those emails due.
In AIM Mail and AOL Mail, saving unfinished emails as drafts is easy, and so is continuing composing, of course. Naturally, you can use Save Draft to stop composing when you've got to run, too.
Save Emails as Drafts and Continue Later in AIM Mail or AOL Mail
To save an email you are composing in AIM Mail or AOL Mail as a draft:
- Click Save Draft.
- Now you can click Cancel to stop composing.
- It's good to have a Subject or at least recipients added that will help you recognize the draft in the Drafts folder.
To continue composing a message saved as a draft:
- Go to the Drafts folder.
- Click the desired message.
- When you click Send, the draft will automatically be deleted.
- When you click Save Draft again, the current draft will replace the original one.
To delete a draft without sending it:
- Go to the Drafts folder.
- Tick the checkbox next to the draft of which you want to rid yourself.
- Click Delete.
- If you deleted inadvertently, you can go to the Trash folder and click the draft to continue composing, then click Save Draft again.
