How to Change the Columns Shown in AIM Mail or AOL Mail

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

Have you ever clicked the trash icon while going through your mail in AIM Mail or AOL Mail — accidentally? Would you love to see all your emails' sizes in the overview? Is your love for attachments and flags limited?

In AIM Mail or AOL Mail, you can easily see just the columns you prefer. Of course, AIM Mail or AOL Mail will remember your choice. It will apply to all folders automatically, though.

Change the Columns Shown in AIM Mail or AOL Mail

To hide or show columns in AIM Mail or AOL Mail:

  • Click in a column header (Subject, for example) with the right mouse button.
  • Now click a column to hide (if it has a check mark) or show (if it has not check mark and is currently hidden) it.
  • Repeat until just the columns you desire are shown.

Once you see the right columns, you can re-arrange them by dragging them around with the mouse.
