If you want lots of flexibility, a fancy graphical interface may not help much, or even obscure things unnecessarily. NetMailBot is not guilty of this fault, but exploiting its features can take some time and effort. What you get is powerful, though.
NetMailBot lets you use flexible database queries to create complex, personalized mailings, everything can be scheduled, NetMailBot supports plain text and HTML email as well as attachments, and a lot more. The ability to check and process incoming mail automatically is also welcome and useful, though it could be even more flexible.
It's a pity that NetMailBot can't write back to the database, and that it must rely on one external SMTP server for message delivery.
