Lyris MailShield Desktop can use these characteristics to identify spam better. So make sure you let it know what your messages typically look like.
To tune the recipient sensitivity in MailShield Desktop:
- Select Tools | Spam Handling and Detection... from the menu in MailShield Desktop.
- Go to the Receiver Verification tab.
- Under It is __ for me to receive acceptable email (not spam) where I am one of 10 or more recipients (in either the "to" field or the "cc" field) select how common this is for you.
- Do the same for It is __ for me to receive acceptable email (not spam) as BCC (email where I am not listed in the "to" or "cc" field).
