How to Mark Mail from a Sender Automatically in PocoMail

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

Message labels — or "marks", as they are called in PocoMail — are incredibly useful to organize and prioritize mail.

If you have certain senders whose messages inherently have a certain status ("read later" for the About Email newsletter, for example), you can make PocoMail assign this mark to messages from that sender automatically.

Mark Mail from a Sender Automatically in PocoMail

To mark mail from a certain sender automatically in PocoMail:

  • Select Tools | Filters... from the menu in PocoMail.
  • Click the New Filter button.
  • Make the criterion read Search From for.
  • Enter the email address of the sender in the for entry field.
  • Now, make the filter's action read Perform mark message as.
  • Select the desired message mark marking from the drop-down menu.
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK again.
