How to Toggle Remote Image Downloading in PocoMail

One of the advantages of HTML email is that images can be inserted inline. Often, these pictures are not sent together with the email but downloaded from a remote server when you open the message.

This can be a privacy infringement, and it can cause your computer to keep dialing your ISP as soon as you start reading mail.

Fortunately, it is easy to disable remote image loading in PocoMail.

Toggle Remote Image Downloading in PocoMail

To toggle the download of images from remote servers in PocoMail:

  • Click the Download External Images icon while reading a message in PocoMail.
    • The Download External Images icon the red, blue and green icon in the message preview pane or message window.
