When you send a message in Outlook, it is placed in the Outbox and queued to be delivered when Outlook has established a connection to the outgoing mail server.
If you open and close the message while it is still in the Outbox, however, its status is changed and it is not sent. The message's appearance also changes from italicized to normal.
Resend a Message That is Stuck in the Outlook Outbox
To resend a message stuck in the Outlook 2000 Outbox:
- Open the message.
- Select Send from its toolbar.
Upon the next connection, Outlook will deliver the message (unless, of course, you open and close it again).
