Know What to Quote in Email Replies

  • quote only as much as is absolutely necessary and as little as possible.

Often, one paragraph, one sentence or even one word is enough.

It is generally not necessary to include greeting, good-bye and signature of the original email unless you specifically refer to it.

Now that you know what to quote, make sure you cite the original message in a way easy to read and use.
