Whitelist a Sender or Domain in Inbox100

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com Guide

If your anti-spam tool uses a whitelist to determine whether an email is good or spam, maintaining this list is of particular importance.

In Inbox100, adding senders is easy by approving emails or scanning folders for addresses, but you can also whitelist certain senders or domains manually. This is not difficult either, and I have used it to whitelist the "about.com" domain, for example, to make sure I don't have to recover one About newsletter from the Quarantine folder.

To whitelist a sender or domain in Inbox100:

  • Click the Inbox100 button on the Inbox100 toolbar.
  • Go to the Inbox100 Options tab.
  • Make sure Approved List is selected.
  • Click Add....
  • Type the email address or domain you want to whitelist under Email Address:.
    • To whitelist a domain, type the domain name preceded by "*@".
    • To whitelist the "about.com" domain, for example, type "*@about.com".
  • Optionally, type a descriptive name under Name:.
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK again.
