From the article: How to Delete Your Yahoo! Mail Account
What were your biggest beefs with Yahoo! Mail?
(See How to Delete Your Yahoo! Mail Account for the steps to take to close your account.)
What made you quit? I Quit Because:
Junk Mail
- I do not want to receive any junk mail on my account.

Too much Change…
- These hot shot,'brilliant' market people have lost touch with the basic principles by which the most iconic brand names have fostered nearly undying brand recognition loyalty. Too many changes shoved down my throat, and I left everything behind (after 12 years) … YAHOO - get loster, you fools.

I quit because…
- people were sending nasty messages, so I decided not to have an email so they can't send them.
- —Guest fhdwkjfh
Unnecessary Mail
- Receiving too many unnecessary messages that I don't want.
- —Guest Hazel
Hacked Three Times; SPAM
- I've been hacked three times with Yahoo, and it's bothering me a lot. Gmail works much better, and I trust it very much. Yahoo isn't so good with Outlook either.
- —Guest TJ
Can't Stand AT&T
- I'm distancing myself from everything related to AT&T, including their email account.
- —Guest Me
No Use
- I no longer have any use for [my Yahoo! Mail account], and all mail I lately got was spam. A lot of it.
- —Guest Toni
Spam
- I fail to see why Yahoo cannot stop Spam despite configuring Yahoo mail to exclude these senders' addresses. Don't get it with Google or Hotmail so why oh why can't Yahoo deal with it in the same way!?
- —Guest Richard
Too Many Unknown Emails
- [I quit because] too many email come, and I don't know who they are.
- —Guest lida
Hacker broke in to my account
- My account was hacked into, and a potentially virus-ridden link was sent to all my contacts, including my other Yahoo account (which is how I discovered what had happened).
- —Guest scruffybuddha32
Hacked Account
- I want my account closed to due privacy issues and do not want to use this account any longer…

It's a Mess
- Everything in Yahoo mail is a mess, I mean a whole lot of BS, spam comes to my account, and managing all that stuff, Im finding it quite difficult.
- —Guest Sam
Spam. Hacked. Not Good.
- Too much spam — 25 or so a day. Also been hacked often. Not good.
- —Guest Barb Fleming
Yahoo! Mail plagued with viruses!
- Yahoo cannot deal effectively with viruses. I loved my email address and didn't want to give it up but had no choice. Penis enlargement and Viagra messages were coming in at about 500 a week. Early on I contacted Yahoo but they couldn't handle it.
- —Guest Liz
I was Hacked.
- Contacts began receiving emails not from me. It was how to make money at home. I cleared it up… I thought. A week later, it began again.
