From the article: How to Delete Your Yahoo! Mail Account
What were your biggest beefs with Yahoo! Mail?
What made you quit? I Quit Because:
Yahoo spies for U.S. law enforcement
- Also, the multiple logons and bloody codes just to send email are soooo annoying!

Stalker
- I had some weirdo stalking me. he wont leave me alone so i deleted my account because he keeps finding out my info.

Frsutrated by signature image
- Attaching an image to a signature is very frustrating, annoying, time-consuming and impossible. I attach a file following the Heinz advice but it comes out very pixelated and not very professional. It should be better.

Pop-Ups
- Seems too slow most of the time, having to log on multiple times, all those pop ups and suggestions.

I haven't quit yet.
- Change from Aol for better service and find it worse. I resent having to decipher a code TWICE or more to send an e-mail. Plus wasting time trying to find an e-mail address to contact Yahoo. Also in trying to change sites, I have had to log in 3 times in 5 minutes! I may to back to Aol. They are improving the mail and are easy to contact.

Slow
- It has got so Sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!

All that spam
- My biggest problem with Yahoo was all that spam… I hope they have fixed that!! If so, I would try them again.

Slow and Non-Friendly
- I used it after realizing how bad Hotmail was, but it never got me completely happy, when GMail appeared there was no reason to keep on using Yahoo!, it has (or had at that time) a slow interface, non intuitive, full of spam even with filters and daily checks, it just felt like Chaos to me. I'm really happy with GMail from a couple of years now.

Hard to use
- [Yahoo! Mail is] hard to use. Had to be online all the time, can't interface with other programs like Outlook, no comparison to Gmail!

A lot rubbish adverts
- I just wanted to get my mail straight forward not to also get a lot rubbish adverts as well as my mail, so went back to Outlook Express.

A lot of adverts
- I just wanted to get my mail straight forward not to also get a lot [of] rubbish adverts as well as my mail, so went back to Outlook Express.

Why I quit Yahoo email
- The account was hard to interface with other mail clients. I didn't need any other reasons.

Stifled
- I felt that Yahoo was infiltrating my computer to areas I was unaware that I had not given access to.

Why I quit Yahoo!
- The drafts! We use to be able to do up an email and put it into the drafts folder and it would stay there until we deleted it no matter how many times we forwarded it! Now when we put the email into the drafts folder the first time we forward it the email program deletes it so we can't forward it out again! This is the most important thing that made me quit Yahoo! I don't like all the changes unless they make things more enjoyable or easier! Gary

Didn't close Yahoo
- I've had a premium Yahoo account ($20 annual fee) for many years which I intend to renew for many years to come — the only improvement I can see that Yahoo should add is the ability to adjust the time between automatic checks for new incoming emails (Does anyone know what that time interval is?) — and — the ability to make an audible sound when new incoming emails are sent to my inbox.
