Opera
Version:
Opera 11.6My Review
The best thing of the Opera email client, in my view, is how it integrates the contact list with the emails. If you go to one of your contacts (in the panel on the left edge of the Opera browser window), Opera automatically shows you all email correspondence with that contact in the main window. That is so incredibly handy!
Combined with the possibility to automatically add email addresses to the contact list when you send them an email, this is for me the ideal solution to keeping my mails organised. I have tried to look for this in other email packages but haven't found this feature anywhere.
You can also get all messages from one contact by using the context menu when on a message. It has an option to "Show all messages from contact".
Another great thing about Opera is the incredible flexibility. You can follow contacts or following specific threads with one click. And if you need more sophisticated filtering there is always the label option. I also very much like the fact that I have my email integrated into my browser.
The main drawback: Opera is struggling with HTML implementation for writing messages. Also it doesn't support pasting images into a message through the clipboard.
