Zoho Mail

This is a very good free E-Mail Provider. It has no ads at all. It has a clean UI (user interface). The only thing that I wish it had was being able to control the anti-spam filter (as in turning it on or off). There is a whitelist and blacklist option where you can list the domain or e-mail that you want to be whitelisted or blacklisted.
As for people who keep thinking that you have to pay to use it, you are just looking in the wrong place. Go to https://www.zoho.com/mail/ , press "Get Started" , ignore the 3 options in the middle of your screen. Scroll down and you will see "Free Personal Account - Sign up here to get yourself a free username@zoho.com email account". This is what you choose to create your free personal e-mail.
