How to Add a Picture to Your Yahoo Mail Signature

Personalize your Yahoo Mail signature with an image

When you create an email signature in Yahoo Mail, it is appended to all your outgoing emails. The rich text formatting toolbar doesn't include an option for images. However, just as you can insert pictures into the body of a Yahoo Mail message, you can also add inline images to your signature.

This feature is no longer supported by Yahoo Mail. However, it is possible to insert images into signatures in Gmail and Outlook.

How to Add a Picture to Yahoo Email Signatures

Paste an image into the signature box to include it in your signature.

  1. Select the gear in the upper-right corner of Yahoo Mail, then select More Settings.

  2. Select the Mailboxes on the left.

  3. Select your email address.

  4. Scroll down in the right pane and click inside the Signature box.

If the signature box is grayed out, click the switch beside Signature to enable it.

  5. Enter your name and any other text that will be part of the signature.

  6. Any photo you use in your signature must first be uploaded and accessible at an online hosting website. Upload it to a site such as Imgur or another hosting site.

The image should be small to look right at the bottom of an email. If it's large, resize it so that it fits better with your email signature.

  7. Go to the picture at the host site in a browser, right-click (or Control-click), then select Copy from the menu.

  8. Position the cursor in the signature box where you want the image to appear.

  9. Right-click and select Paste to place the image in the signature box.
