How to Find and Open Your Windows Mail Stationery Folder

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com Guide

If you want to add new stationery to Windows Mail, it's good to know where to put it. Windows Mail has a default stationery folder, and all stationery you install in it will be easy to use for new messages in Windows Mail.

Find and Open Your Windows Mail Stationery Folder

To locate and open the default Windows Mail stationery folder:

  • Click the Start menu.
  • Type "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Stationery" in the Start Search field. (Do not include the quotation marks. Of course, you can just copy the string and paste it into the field.)
  • Click the Stationery folder that comes up.
