Yes. Outlook Express Attachment Remover can eat the unneeded part — large attachments you've saved elsewhere or really don't need — while retaining the message content in Windows Mail or Outlook Express. Of course, you can save the attached file to disk before removing it, and Outlook Express Attachment Remover will even mention its new location in the message body.
You can highlight all messages in a folder and have Attachment Remover strip attachments. You cannot, however, have Attachment Remover save all files before removing them — or even use filters to remove or save just a particular file type or files of, say, a certain size. More automation and possibly a command line interface would be nice, too.
For occasionally stripping that big attachment or cleaning up folders for archiving, Outlook Express Attachment Remover is still highly functional and useful.
