How did they do it? Maybe they copied the map found on a cartography site and included a link, all of which in turn included lots of copying and pasting.
You, in Windows Live Hotmail, can search for locations and insert maps in your emails right while composing those emails — and include a restaurant plus an image of that restaurant to boot. See the restaurant first, then see the city.
Insert Images, Local Maps, Movie Times and More Quickly in Windows Live Hotmail
Note that Quick add is currently not available in Windows Live Hotmail; see below for inserting Bing search results quickly.
To swiftly add a map, movie time, restaurant or other business, image or video to an email in Windows Live Hotmail:
- Start with a new message.
- From the Quick add bar, select the desired category.
- Note that Quick add is available only in the U.S. and the U.K.
- You can find only restaurants, business and movie theaters in these countries.
- Make sure you type the full address including city and state searching for a map.
- Make sure the text cursor is where you want the insertion to appear in your message.
- Click Insert under the desired result.
To delete a Quick add insertion from your message:
- Click the image.
- Press Del.
- Highlight the descriptive text.
- Press Del again.
Insert Bing Search Results Quickly in Windows Live Hotmail
To add search results from Bing to an email you are composing in Windows Live Hotmail:
- Start an email.
- Make sure rich-text editing is enabled.
- Click From Bing in the message's toolbar.
- Select Search all from the menu that comes up.
- Type what you seek under Search.
- Hit Enter.
- Make sure the text cursor is positioned in the message where you want the Bing result to appear.
- Click the desired result in the Bing sidebar.
You can delete insertions like other text in your message.
