In Windows Live Hotmail, you can be curious and see the source of any email (which contains routing information as well as attachments in encoded form, and formatting instructions maybe) while maintaining your caution towards strange emails: you don't have to open a message to see its (plain text) source.
View an Email's Source in Windows Live Hotmail
To see the source code of an email message in Windows Live Hotmail:
- Open the desired message.
- Click the down arrow next to Reply in the message's header area (next to the recipients).
- Select View message source from the menu.
