Windows Live Hotmail will only show you some 35 emails per page. That's 38 pages, 38 times clicking and selecting and acting for a mere 257 emails. A better way to select all messages in a Windows Live Hotmail folder surely exist.
It does, of course. No matter a folder's size, you can avoid clicking through pages and performing actions more than once by selecting everything at once.
Select All Messages in a Windows Live Hotmail Folder
To select all email in a folder (including those not visible on the current page) in Windows Live Hotmail:
- Open the desired folder in Windows Live Hotmail.
- Click the checkbox above the message list so all messages on the current page are checked.
- Click Select everything, either above the message list or in the preview area, where an email would appear if you clicked one.
Now you can delete, sweep, mark or move all the emails in the current folder.
For even more flexible sorting and selecting, you can also set up your Windows Live Hotmail account in Windows Live Mail or Outlook, of course.
