In any event, Windows Live Hotmail's calendar provides the very useful tool of email reminders. On a given date, Hotmail will deliver an email with a reminder to your Windows Live Hotmail inbox automatically.
Create an Email Reminder in Windows Live Hotmail
To get reminded of an event by email in Windows Live Hotmail:
- Select Calendar in Windows Live Hotmail.
- Click New in the toolbar.
- Type the desired reminder under What:.
- Specify the event date under Start: and End:.
- Click Add more details.
- Pick the perfect time for the reminder email to arrive under Send reminder:.

- Click Save.
To make sure you get Windows Live Calendar reminders at your Windows Live Hotmail email address:
- Go to Calendar in Windows Live Hotmail.
- Click Options.
- Click Change how you get reminders under Set your reminder time.
- Make sure E-mail: is selected.
- If it is not your Windows Live Hotmail address listed under E-mail::
- Click Save.
