Not all appreciate forwarded jokes, riddles and videos. For even more control, slimail can indicate in the subject message sizes and types or block large messages altogether. You can also filter out messages containing certain keywords. These and original, uncleaned messages can be restored easily for two weeks.
Speaking of weeks: slimail has a fabulous "freeze" setting for, say, vacations. During this time all fun email will be held. To help with the deluge of jokes while you're there, slimail lets you rate messages and see the ratings of others.
For all the good things slimail does, it's a pity you cannot filter existing POP accounts easily with it. (slimail does include instructions for setting up your Gmail account for cleaning.) Of course, slimail could also do even more cleaning and, say, remove other's email addresses from the To: or Cc: headers.
