Guide Review - SoftClan e-cryptor 1.7 - Encrypted Email
Unfortunately, it won't help the case of e-cryptor that its interface is nice, and that it supports rich text messages as well as attachments. The encryption used by e-cryptor is strong, but it has one awfully weak spot: all it takes to decrypt messages is a password. Public key encryption systems at least provide enhanced security by requiring the secret key in addition to the right password for deciphering.
All in all, SoftClan e-cryptor a nice attempt, but not a very secure or usable one.
