How to Add an Image to a Signature in PocoMail

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

If an image says more than 1,000 words, you should keep your signature to a few lines (maybe 70 words) and you want to say as much as you can in the standard text appended to all emails you send, adding an image to your signature is the logical thing to do.

While PocoMail does not offer an "insert image" command in the signature editor, adding any picture, image or animation to your signature is easy.

Add an Image to a Signature in PocoMail

To insert a picture or graphic in an email signature in PocoMail:

  • Select Message | New Message from the menu in PocoMail's main window.
  • Now select Message | Edit Signatures from the menu in the message window.
  • If you want to edit an existing signature:
    • Select the desired signature from the Signatures: drop-down menu.
    • Click Open.
    • Click somewhere in the signature.
    • Hit Ctrl-A.
    • Now hit Ctrl-C.
    • Switch to the message window.
    • Press Ctrl-A again.
    • Now hit Ctrl-V.
  • Go to the message window.
  • In the message body, design the signature text as you would like it to appear.
  • Put the cursor where you want to include the image.
  • Select Insert | Image... from the menu.
  • Use the file browser to highlight the desired image.
  • Click Open.
  • In the message body, hit Ctrl-A.
  • Now hit Ctrl-C
  • Go to the signature editor.
  • In the signature editor, press Ctrl-A.
  • Press Ctrl-V.
  • Either type a new name in Signatures: or select an existing signature from the menu.
  • Make sure Save with formatting is checked.
  • Click Save.
