Fortunately, there's also truly great spam filtering technology built into PocoMail. After you have trained it for a while, the Bayesian filter will spot spam with amazing accuracy (usually, at least).
If you want to get the most out of PocoMail's adaptive filter, you should make sure it is not overridden by any other spam filter rules, though. A Bayesian filter is usually best if it is left alone.
Use Only Bayesian Spam Filtering in PocoMail for Best Results
To use only Bayesian spam filtering in PocoMail:
- Select Tools | Junk Mail Filtering from the menu.
- Make sure Enable automatic Junk Mail filtering is checked.
- Go to the General Settings tab.
- Make sure Run standard non-Bayesian filters is not checked.
- Now go to the Bayesian tab.
- Here, make sure Run learning Bayesian filters: is checked.
- Click OK.
Now that you have enabled Bayesian filtering in PocoMail, all you have to do profit from it is training it as you use it.
