That's convenient, pretty and fun, but not all recipients appreciate messages using rich formatting. If you send a message to a mailing list, for example, it is usually best to use plain text only.
But how do you make sure a message you send does not contain any HTML formatting? Fortunately, there is a surefire indicator. Look at the header area of the email you are composing (if you can't see the To:, Subj: and Cc: fields, press Ctrl-F8). If the Rich Text box is checked, your message contains rich formatting.
