How to Write Left or Right of an Inline Image in Outlook Express

By , About.com Guide

Inserting an image inline in an email in Outlook Express is easy, and when you have big enough a picture going across the full width of the message it looks great, too. But wouldn't it be great if you could have some text next to the image, left or right, instead of just above and below it (the line at the bottom of the image that you can type by default does not really count, does it?)?

Fortunately, changing the default image alignment is easy. You can rather put the image at the right or at the left border and type your text elegantly around it.

Write Left or Right of an Inline Image in Outlook Express

To write to the left or to the right of an image you have included inline in a message in Outlook Express:

  • Click on the image with the right mouse button.
  • Select Properties from the menu.
  • Under Alignment, choose either Left (to write to the right of the image) or Right (to put text to the left of the image).
  • Click OK.
