Spam Filter Express integrates well with Outlook Express and Outlook and learns from your example what is spam and what is good mail. Teaching Spam Filter Express is easy via a simple toolbar button click. Since the Bayesian filter needs to see a few of the good and bad messages you typically receive, it does no filtering at the beginning.
That Spam Filter Express still catches spam out of the box is due to its using SpamAssassin's rule-based filtering until enough data has been collected. Spam Filter Express watches your "Inbox" or any other local folder automatically, but you are limited to manual cleaning for IMAP folders, for example.
While Spam Filter Express is a smooth experience in Outlook Express, the Outlook edition shows a few rough edges and seemed to trail its cousin in filtering efficiency, too. Spam Filter Express includes semi-automatic black and white lists of senders, but if you train your Spam Filter Express well, you can safely ignore them.
