Guide Review - OE Backup Tiger 1.2 - Outlook Express Backup Tool
OE Backup Tiger cannot help you with it. But OE Backup Tiger makes creating backup copies of all your Outlook Express data a snap. Make regular backups with OE Backup Tiger to some removable medium a habit, and you are protected from hardware or software problems (as well as human error) that affect your computer.
Using OE Backup Tiger, you can backup and restore email and Usenet messages, contacts, account data and options, signatures, rules and blocked senders. Unfortunately, as easy as it is to create a solid backup in a few steps with OE Backup Tiger, it does not offer scheduling itself and cannot be commanded from a scheduling tool like Windows's system scheduler.
It's nice that backups created with OE Backup Tiger can be protected with a password, but compression, a not-so-proprietary format and self-restoring archives would be nice, too. Flexibility when it comes to restoring — restoring only certain folders, for example — is another area where OE Backup Tiger can still improve.
