Guide Review - Mail Tracker 1.0 - Mail Checker
If you want more info about the messages that supposedly deserve your interest, you need a tool like Mail Tracker. In a visually appealing manner (with gradients and fading and such), Mail Tracker not only tells you that but also what kind of mail has arrived. In a small window popping up from the system tray, you learn about the sender, subject and body of new messages.
You can open Outlook Express from the announcement window, of course, or watch it go through the messages one by one. Unfortunately, there is no way to speed up the process manually.
Of course, ways to interact with the messages right from Mail Tracker would be nice (I'd love to be able to delete some mail the moment I see it first with a quick click). And restricting the messages announced by Mail Tracker this way to certain Outlook Express folders (to take advantage of filtering) might be even better.
Still, for some elaboration on the simplistic Outlook Express new mail icon, Mail Tracker is a pretty neat choice.
