Guide Review - OutTray 1.01 - Outlook Add-On

The Windows task bar is great for switching between applications, and the big buttons are useful if their title is meaningful. If an application is running all day, though, it can be nice to be able to keep it open and out of the way.

The Windows system tray is a great place for such applications. Such applications as Outlook. With OutTray, you can minimize Outlook to a small icon in the system tray easily.

In fact, there is nothing extra you have to do. With OutTray running, Outlook will simply be hidden from the task bar if you minimize it. A single click is also enough to restore Outlook's window.

Unfortunately, OutTray maximizes Outlook, though. There are also no shortcuts to often used functions you may want to perform with Outlook still hidden — starting a new email, creating a new note, checking mail,... — in the OutTray icon's menu.
