Guide Review - E-mail Follow-Up 1.9.1 - Microsoft Outlook Add-On
If you send an email and do not get a reply and waste no thought on it, it might be argued that it cannot possibly have been that important. But then again both you and your contact might not be forgetful in order to forget but for a sublime fear of success and happiness, and an external reminder might be just what you need — or something like that. Whatever the rationalization or excuse, E-mail Follow-Up is a handy and highly useful Outlook add-on in its own right. Whenever you send a message, you can choose to send it with an E-mail Follow-Up reminder. If you do not receive a reply within a specified time, E-mail Follow-Up reminds you and lets you write a follow-up easily. The template used for these follow-ups can be customized as easily in E-mail Follow-Up as you can set a flexible default time for the reminder. When a reply to a message watched by E-mail Follow-Up, the scheduled reminder is removed, of course. Tighter integration with Outlook for creating reminders and possible for annotating them might be nice, and default values per email account would be welcome, but E-mail Follow-Up can already be invaluable as it is.
