Guide Review - ClearContext Professional 4.5 - Outlook Productivity Add-On
With a full Outlook inbox organized by message arrival, it's easy to get lost and occupied with less important emails. The most important mail is never tackled.ClearContext Professional sets out to stand this disproportion on its head. It puts the most important mail on top.
When you first start Outlook with ClearContext, it goes through your old messages and identifies your key contacts. Who you communicate with frequently is only one piece of the Inbox prioritization puzzle, however. ClearContext also takes a look at other criteria to determine a message's importance.
The resulting order and color coding is usually pretty good, allowing you to get to the most important mail first. Thanks to ClearContext's good integration, that happens naturally and with hardly and effort. Unfortunately, the ClearContext view is available only in the default Outlook inbox and not in IMAP accounts, for example.
Of course, you're not done with a more organized inbox. Neither is ClearContext Professional. Its "DashBoard" is looking at your Outlook data through project eyes: for a given task, it collects relevant emails, to-do items, contacts, appointments and files.
On a more granular level, you can turn messages into to-do items or appointments (or, ah, postpone them; or, a-ha, delegate them) easily. Click "Followup Msg" when you send an email, and ClearContext will remind you if you have not received a reply within a certain time; select "Do Not Disturb" and ClearContext turns off Outlook alerts for the desired time span.
ClearContext Professional helps you saving messages in an orderly fashion, too. If you're the filing type, ClearContext lets you move emails or entire threads to folders automatically created swiftly. Based on past habits, ClearContext even suggests likely folders based on senders. Of course, you can also set up your own rules.
