How to Change the New Mail Sound in Opera

Like every respectable email client, Opera can contribute to noise pollution.

Change the New Mail Sound in Opera

To have Opera play your preferred sound file when new mail has come in:

• Select Mail | Manage accounts... from the menu.
• Highlight the account whose new mail sound you want to change.
• Click Edit.
• Go to the Incoming tab.
• Make sure Play sound when new messages arrive is checked.
• Use the Choose button to select a WAV file to be played upon incoming mail.
• Click OK.
