How to Exclude Your Junk Mail Folders from NEO

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

It's wonder- and usually very helpful how Nelson Email Organizer finds emails no matter where they are — in which Outlook message store, in which folder — displays them in all the relevant contexts. Usually, because there is one exception.

I have a spam filter move junk emails to a special folder for the precise reason that I want them out of the way, and certainly not appear together with other, good messages.

Fortunately, it is possible to tell NEO where not to look for emails. You can still access folders excluded from NEO in Outlook or via the Outlook view in NEO itself, but messages in excluded folders do not show up in the Active Mail folder, under the "correspondent" or any other automatically created NEO folder.
