If you want to highlight text in iPhone Mail, you can put it in a paragraph of its own, of course, use '*'s or, aghast, make it all upper case.
You can also turn to classy text formatting, though. iPhone Mail lets you embolden text, italicize it for emphasis or underline.
Add Rich Formatting to Text in iPhone Mail
To make text bold, underline it or set it in italics in iPhone Mail:
- Highlight the text you want to format while composing an email in iPhone Mail.
- Tap BIU.
- If you cannot see BIU in the menu that comes up, tap the right arrow first.
- Now:
- Tap Bold for bold text.
- Tap Italics for italicized characters.
- Tap Underline to underline the highlighted word, characters or passage.
iPhone Mail will send both a formatted and a plain text version of your email, so you don't have to worry about others not being able to read your message.
