Now, if you send rich messages with your Gmail address in the From: line using IncrediMail, wouldn't it be nice if you could receive the replies you get at Gmail in IncrediMail, too? Of course it would be — it will be, and you do not forego any of Gmail's web interface amenities such as universal accessibility and powerful search. All the mail you download into IncrediMail can still be archived in Gmail.
Access a Gmail Account in IncrediMail
To send and receive Gmail email with IncrediMail:
- Make sure POP access is enabled on for your Gmail account.
- Select Tools | Email Accounts… from the menu in IncrediMail.
- Click Add.
- Now click Gmail.
- Enter your Gmail address under Username:.
- Type your Gmail password under Password:.
- Click Next.
- Now click OK.
- Click Close.
IncrediMail has set the appriate server names, ports and authentication methods automatically.
Access a Gmail Account in IncrediMail XP
To add a Gmail account in IncrediMail XP:
- Make sure POP access is turned on for your Gmail account.
- Select Tools | Accounts... from the menu in IncrediMail.
- Click Add.
- Make sure Let me configure settings myself is selected.
- Click Next >.
- Type your name under Your name is:.
- Enter your full Gmail address under Your email address:.
- Click Next >.
- Enter your entire Gmail address in the Username: field again.
- Type your Gmail password under Password:.
- Click Finish.
- Now click OK.
- Finally, click Close.
