How to Request a Read Receipt for a Message in IncrediMail

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

It's easy to send and receive emails with IncrediMail. But in this age of spam filters and servers bogged down by worms and viruses, it is not always certain that a message you send will be received, unfortunately.

It's good to know that an email has arrived, though. For this purpose, IncrediMail lets you request a read receipt for any message you send. When the recipient opens the message, they are usually asked to confirm the receipt. If they do, you'll get a message back certifying that your email has been displayed (and possibly read, too).

Request a Read Receipt for a Message in IncrediMail

To request a read receipt for an email you are composing in IncrediMail:

  • Select Message | Request Read Receipt from the menu while composing the message to make sure the item is checked.

If Message | Request Read Receipt is already checked, selecting the menu item again will disable the read receipt feature for this message.
