How to Filter Mail from Unknown Senders to the Junk Folder in IncrediMail

IncrediMail includes a sophisticated subscription service that filters mail without you having to spend another thought or click on all the junk (more or less). But even without a subscription to JunkFilter Plus, you can turn your IncrediMail Inbox into a lean and spam-free place.

Using IncrediMail's own filtering engine, you can send all mail from senders you have not yet approved to the Junk Mail folder (okay, it's the JunkFiler Plus is OFF folder, too). Reviewing the messages in this folder, you can then easily add new senders to your list of approved addresses.

Filter Mail from Unknown Senders to the Junk Folder as Spam in IncrediMail

To send mail from senders you have not approved to the junk folder in IncrediMail automatically:

  • Select Tools | Message Rules... from the menu.
  • Click Add....
  • Make sure the filter reads If Received from unapproved sender then Move it to.
  • Click the ... button.
  • Highlight the Junk Mail folder.
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK again.
  • Click Close.

Add a Sender to Approved Senders

To add the sender of an email in the Junk Mail folder to your list of approved senders:

  • Highlight the desired message.
  • Click Add to Approved Senders in the folder's toolbar.
    • If the message is not in the Junk Mail folder, click on it with the right mouse button and select Add to Approved Senders from the context menu.
  • Click OK.
  • Move the message to your Inbox or an archive folder.

Remove a Sender from Approved Senders

To remove a sender from your approved addresses:

  • Find a message from the sender.
  • Click on it with the right mouse button.
  • Select Remove from Approved Senders from the context menu.
  • Click OK.
