In IncrediMail, the single Deleted Items folder serves another purpose (one that, I must admit, my solid-world trash can has been used for as well): you can undelete messages that accidentally made it to the trash. To make sure the Deleted Items folder does not grow indefinitely, you have to empty it from time to time — when you are sure the messages in it are no longer needed.
Empty the Deleted Items folder in IncrediMail to Purge Trashed Mail
To permanently delete all messages kept in your IncrediMail's Deleted Items folder:
- Select Edit | Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder from the menu.
- Click Yes.

If you're a fan of all things automatic and do not enjoy the conscious emptying of your trash, you can also have IncrediMail do it automatically for you whenever you exit the program.
