I said the plain text of email, yes. Even though messages from friends and mailing lists or newsletters may come with formatting, images and animations, you can read them in pure and plain text only in Inbox.com. It's easy.

To make Inbox.com display all mail in just plain and secure text:
- Select Settings from the Inbox.com navigation bar.
- Follow the General settings link under Email options.
- Make sure Show HTML emails as plain text. is checked under Viewing messages.
- Click Save settings.
Of course, you can still switch to the full, glorious HTML layout for individual messages you are reading.
