How to Change Your Inbox.com Password

By , About.com Guide

A password is only as good as it is a secret. Obviously, common words or anything easily connected to your person does not qualify, but a long and entirely random string of characters is not a sensible password either if you cannot remember it and have to write it down.

A good strategy to enhance the security of your Inbox.com email account is to change the password periodically, at least once in a while. With the right link, this is easy.

Change Your Inbox.com Password

To modify your Inbox.com password:

  • Go to the Change Password page.
  • Type your current password under Old Password:.
  • Enter the desired new passphrase under both New Password: and Retype New Password:.
  • Click Change Password.

The best password (changed frequently) offers no protection against keyloggers on your computer and people peeking over your shoulders.

If you have set your browser to remember the — now old — password, make sure you log out and back in with the new password to replace the old value.
