To remove linked history, select Remove an account on sign-on page. Next to account, select red - (minus) > Yes, Remove. If you have multiple Gmail accounts and you need to log in to all your accounts in the same web browser, it's easy to link those accounts with the Add another account button. It's even easier to log out of your Gmail accounts. Here's how to do so using the desktop version of Gmail accessible via all web browsers. How to Unlink Gmail Accounts When you log out of one of your Gmail accounts, you unlink both it and the others that are linked to it. You can always switch between the accounts to use each separately. However, when you log out of one, the others are signed off, too. After you unlink an account, you have to log in the next time you need access. You can skip forward and complete these three steps in one swoop by clicking this special logout link. Otherwise, follow these steps: Select your profile image or avatar in the upper-right corner of the screen. When the new menu appears, select Sign out of all accounts at the bottom. You are signed out of Google and unlinked from your account in all Google services. Signing off logs you out of the current account as well as any other Gmail accounts connected to it, meaning that the browser severs its ties to all the currently logged-in accounts. To enable easy Gmail account switching again, log in to both accounts. How to Remove the Linked Account History After you sign out of your linked Gmail accounts, you're given a list of those accounts to make it easier to sign back in. You can delete accounts from this list if you like. On the sign-in page, select Remove an account. Click the red - (minus) button next to any account that you want to remove. In the next window, click Yes, Remove to confirm. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know! Get the Latest Tech News Delivered Every Day Subscribe Tell us why!
