How to Change the New Mail Sound in Eudora for Windows

You can set up Eudora to play a sound when new mail has arrived. But you need not bore your ears with the default sound.

Change the New Mail Sound in Eudora for Windows

To make Eudora play your favorite custom sound when new mail comes in:

• Select Tools | Options... from the menu in Eudora.
• Go to the Getting Attention category.
• Make sure Play a sound is checked.
• Click on the empty button to select any wav file.
  • If you have already selected a custom wav file, the button has the file's name as its caption.
