How to Prevent Eudora from Changing Your Default Internet Explorer Text Size

"Help! No matter what I try, no matter how often I change the setting manually, Internet Explorer keeps reverting the text size back to the tiny smaller. I must be doing something wrong?"

Eudora Modifies the Internet Explorer Text Size

If that is you, and you are also using Eudora for your email needs, you can possibly be helped. When it uses Internet Explorer for displaying messages containing rich formatting, Eudora modifies the text size in IE, and it does not restore the original value.

Fortunately, you need not forego richly formatted emails in Eudora to keep Eudora from interfering with your Internet Explorer text size.

Prevent Eudora from Changing Your Default Internet Explorer Text Size

To make sure Eudora does not change the default text size in Internet Explorer:

  • Select Tools | Options... from the menu.
  • Go to the Viewing Mail category.
  • Make sure Use separate settings from Internet Explorer is checked under Message Window.
  • Click OK
