How to Fine-Tune the Eudora Spell Checking Suggestions

I really need a spell checker. But my spelling is so bad that just highlighting misspelled words is not enough, I need good suggestions, too! Eudora allows flexible tuning of the suggestions.

Fine-Tune the Eudora Spell Checking Suggestions

To fine-tune the Eudora spell checking suggestions:

• Select Tools | Options... (Windows) or Special | Settings... (Mac) from the menu in Eudora:
• Go to the Spell Checking category.
• Under Suggest words that (Mac) or Suggest words (Windows) you can adjust the suggestions to your liking.

My favorite setting is suggestions that look like the misspelled word (Typographic words in Windows) because most words are mistyped (while you generally know what the word should look like).

But of course you can also have similarly sounding words (Phonetic words in Windows) suggested. If you choose both, be aware that this will create lots of suggestions, and it will get increasingly difficult to find the right one.
